Subject: [F500] Talking Points - Revisited
Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2007 13:40:38 -0400

Before last year's Runoffs, I posted some talking points to have someone give to Speed Channel and they did use some of them in the video. To whoever communicated to the Speed Channel people, I say - Thank you.

Today, I would like to revisit these because Stan says that it is a PERCEPTION problem along with a numbers problem that is facing this community today. So, please take these points along with my earlier one and use them whenever there is an opportunity to recruit someone to our BUDGET class starting with Chris Eveland's great point:

1. "Better to be in the car driving than outside listening."
2. A straight solid axle instead of an independent rear axle
3. A chain or belt drive instead of a differential
4. A continuously variable ratio transmission instead of a multiple gear transmission
5. A 2 cycle motor instead of a 4 cycle motor
6. A rubber puck instead of a coil over shock

All of these components reduce the price by over $25K so I return to point #1 above.

Please everyone - let's start recruiting, mentoring and renting cars to people wherever we meet them. If you are NOT going to drive your car at a race, then rent it to somebody. Have them go to our website and join your crew and see what F500 is all about.
