Sonny, I think we are all aware that some regions of the country have not yet 
begun to race, so yes, a weak start to the season does not really indicate a 
true change in participation. That said, each of the past three years has seen 
F5 have a weaker start than the year before and then go on to a lower total 
from the year before. That is why I expressed my concern. Stan

All this concern over car counts at events so far kinda puzzles me.
The vast majority of the cars are in the 'frozen north' and are still out
in the garage on sawhorses! Our tracks won't open for a month yet, and
most of us don't have the time and money to drive south 1000 miles to run a 
weekend event!
Take another look at the car count in 2 months, I'm think it will improve.
...and I personally know of at least 2 new road racers that will be
hitting the track this year.
...back to the garage.
