Dave,
You say that you have no money yet you bought a Corvette and are going to
track it every so often. You just increased your money outflow by a factor of
ten because that is how many more parts that are going to have to be checked
over and replaced periodically before every track day along with the cost of
race tires, gas, etc. I used to autox and track a strong/well built 1970.5
Camaro Z28 back in the 1970's & early 1980's until I ran out of money. I
realized that the Z28 was going to take over $1,000 every time that I wanted
to
do anything and this was way back then. I wanted to race but on my limited
budget. So I searched around in 1982 and found a F440 being sold by Mike
Leathers, tried it out at an autox and was hooked. I keep checking around and
F500's are still the best bang for the buck. I autox my F500 now because two
daughters wiped out my racing budget years ago and it is still a great
adrenalin rush every solo event.
I wanted you to realize what you are getting yourself into by taking off
your rose colored glasses.

Been there, done that.

Jim
