My race car has one Scirocco cross-flow radiator in each side pod;
they are connected in parallel. With my 493 upgrade underway, I just
noticed that the left and right radiators are (always were, since I
owned the car) connected oppositely. Both are mounted at an angle,
with the inlet and outlet at bottom/rear. There is also an air vent
at the top. On one side, hot water flows into the left inlet/outlet,
while on the other side, it flows into the right inlet/outlet. I
don't see any labels on the radiators. Does it matter- is there one
designed as the inlet and the other as outlet? How is it mounted in
the Scirocco- inlets to the left or to the right? I've never had any
cooling problems with the KAWI in autocross and it was road raced in
the past.
