Anyone interested in forming an "f500" team for the 24 hour race? Not
necessary a must to be in F5, but just have some sort of willingness to have
fun and spend a winter night in Florida.
I had a great time doing this with an autocross friend last year. I have not
really done any karting before except concession karts. I wasn't the slowest,
but I think my weight didn't help me much. A team of six made for enough
driving time but didn't beat me up too badly. These karts are pretty quick.
Not full sprint kart quick, but pretty quick nonetheless. I just brought my
helmet and shoes and rented a suit.
It is very well run. Johan and Karen run a tight ship with everyone well cared
for. It was fun being passed by fast people like Ritchie Hearn and the US
endurance karting team.
It is an easy arrive and drive through a couple of airports.
