I met a fellow today at a local autocross that said he owns what is thought to be a 1975 or 76 Red Devil. He said it had a Kohler engine in it when he got it a couple years back and he has since replaced that engine with something newer. He talked to Don Handley and Don admitted that it was likely a Red Devil and about a 75 or 76. The weird thing is, the owner says it has no suspension and is rigid frame. I told him that it was likely a Formula Indy and not a F440. Anyone have opinions on this suspension deal/ Formula Indy? I was under the impression that all F440/F500's had moving suspension with the rubber pucks. Am I on track here or all wet? I do know that when the Evil Kneval family owned the Red Devil operation, they were strickly making Formula Indy cars, not F440/s.
