The fifth and final F500 Constructors Series race ended with Tom Shaughnessy, Watertown NY collecting the top prize of $150. Second and third place checks went to Steve Moore, Towanda Pa and Bob Gray Yorktown Heights NY receiving $100 and $50 respectively.
The top three finishers battled through Saturday and Sunday races at the Finger Lakes Regions Fun One Double, WGI. At one time or another all three exchanged first, second, or third places in the hotly contested races. Jim Libeccos decisive win on Sunday was enough to move him into fourth place event points. By virtue of their weekend points accumulation Moore, Shuaghnessy, Gray, and Libecco finished in the top 12 of the overall FCS points totals and are now eligible for FCS Series payouts. This final Constructors Series race was part of the FormulaCar Magazine F500 Challenge Cup events at Watkins Glen Fun One Double Regional weekend. Thanks to the generosity of these F500 constructors and suppliers NovaKar, QRE, Red Devil, Scorpion, Sidewinder, TR1, wwwf500.org, Jondal Machine, and Vertical Curve Racing, a portion of the $4000 pot has now been distributed over five races at Miller Motorsports, Tooele UT, Road Atlanta Braselton GA, Road America, Elkhart Lake WI, HTP Topeka KS, Watkins Glen International Watkins Glen NY. Driver points collected in the three best out of the five race series will determine the top twelve drivers to receive the final payout and crown the 2007 F500 Constructor Series Champion.
