Art, Where were you?when I posted at the beginning of this year our volume test of the wrong 493?pump?compared to?the?good pump?? The good pump at wide open throttle (this has NOTHING to do with the lever length) deposited TWICE the oil?volume into a cup over a ten minute period at exactly the same drill rpm than the wrong pump.? This was witnessed by three people - myself being one of them.? This conclusion was later bourne out by inspection of a 493's insides after a 20 minute road racing session - all the places that had no oil with the wrong pump now had oil - spark plug, piston ring and crank bearings.? During this whole season we have not had ONE failure due to oil starvation.? I hope your memory has now been corrected on this painful subject.
