Hello Tara,

As you guessed, there is no way to completely isolate changes in the
sliders (shape or colour). There are 2 reasons for this:

1. Some correlation is inevitable in order to keep a statistically
plausible face. For instance fattening one lip will tend to fatten the
other.
2. Due to inherent limitations of the statistics computations there
are some spurious correlations in the controls. This will be addressed
in a future version.

However I can confirm that if you change a control in the 'shape' or
'colour' tabs by a given delta, it will result in the identical amount
of physical shape change for any face. Since all faces are kept the
same size in FaceGen, you can think of this as an identical percentage
change in the shape. However be sure to change the slider values by an
identical absolute amount, do not think of those changes in
percentages.
