Hello, You're right, I wouldn't want to see manual placement replaced completely, but perhaps both ways could be used together. You could run face detection first, and plot points where facegen thinks it should be, and then let the user manually plot points to where they think they should be, using the previous plotted points as a guideline. Just an idea.
