I think you can eliminate a swap in (piece-blocks). Current version:
: (piece-blocks) ( piece -- blocks )
#! rotates the tetromino
dup tetromino-states swap piece-rotation swap nth ;
Alternate:
: (piece-blocks) ( piece -- blocks )
dup piece-rotation swap tetromino-states nth ;
