Hi all,

Factor in darcs now uses the GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer extension (if
available) to copy parts of the back-buffer to the front-buffer.

On my Linux/ppc machine, this sometimes crashes the X server. I
suspect its a bug in MESA. Can other X11 users test this patch and
tell me what happens? In particular, I'd be interested in hearing
from people who:

- use the proprietary NVidia driver on Linux

- use MESA on Linux x86

- use the Compiz or Beryl compositing window manager -- this was
reported to cause repaint problems with Factor in the past, and using
GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer might have solved these problems

Your help is appreciated to ensure that Factor 0.90 is as stable as
possible,

Slava
