Hey All, I've been keeping a list of bugs I've run into in and around factor. I'm in the new_ui branch from a couple days ago. Here's a dump of my current list with some explanation:
- http://concatenative.org/wiki/view/Concatenative%20IRC%20channel - the link to the IRC logs is broken, and it appears this is because the wiki is too aggressive in escaping URLs (ie. it escapes the ? character, which in this case should be literal.) - The second paragraph of the "Stream Protocol" article says "use" when it should say "using" - The listener reacts oddly to multiple errors. In particular: * Start a new listener, press return until you've moved past the first screen-full * Type at least 2 words that aren't in your USE:, but are in the search path, like [ number>string ] [undo] * The popup will ask you about adding the vocab to your path. Press return to allow it. * The listener will scroll up to the top of the window (bug one) and be in a strange state - you'll have to press return again to get the second error (bug two) - with-locked-model doesn't restore the unlocked state on error, so if a model-changed callback throws an error, the model stays locked (which is annoying when doing interactive work) That's the end of my useful bug reports. I've also been seeing occasional glitches with the listener needing restarting and selection highlights jumping around while scrolling, but I can't reproduce them. Overall, I'm really impressed with how I can make useful things with factor's UI framework - I've been enjoying making several gadgets which all listen to the same model and stay in sync. I also made a new version of <filter> which uses the inverse vocab to provide bi- directional editing of a model. (I will hopefully contribute some of this once it's ready.)
