When I'm updating some code from an older version of Factor, I get the error "the recursive word loop digs arbitrarily deep into the stack". The code in question is
: pop-fails ( vm -- vm ) [ dup pc>> fail = ] [ pop-backtrack [ do-backtrack ] [ terminate-vm ] if* ] while ; inline As far as I can tell, the stack effects are correct.
