Factor had two forms of setter words for tuple slots:

>>FOO ( tuple value -- tuple )
(>>FOO) ( value tuple -- )

The latter is now named FOO<<.

While the former effect is used most often, code written with locals
frequently used (>>FOO) since with locals you don't need to keep the
tuple around on the stack; and the extra parentheses looked somewhat
ugly. Also we use (blah) to mean that this is an internal form of the
blah word, however in the case of setters neither version is really
private or internal in any sense.
