As far as acknowledgements go, if I were writing the paper, I'd think it 
important to recognize Doug Coleman and Stack Effects LLC as providing 
major funding for the Factor project for the years 2008-2009. Factor 
wouldn't be where it is today if it were not for Doug. This generous 
funding allowed Slava to work on Factor full-time for two years.

Chris has been around since the beginning and he has certainly 
influenced the language over the years through his many innovative 
vocabularies (and in tons of other ways).

But don't confuse acknowledgements with authorship. One should never 
imitate the thoughts of another author as one's own original work.
