Hi, As per the discussion in the channel, I tweaked json.writer so that it now takes a dynamic variable to determine whether to perform substitution of dashes into underscores for Javascript-friendly JSON output. I also updated the documentation to bring attention to the new dynamic variable jsvar-encode? that is set to true by default (as per the original behaviour of the json.writer vocab).

Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense.
