The (nice!) documentation of Factor is in

I couldn't learn Factor so quickly with out the help of them and
really like them!

I agree all your points:
* Unicode Standard won't change radically.
* Factor may run into problem in the future if the length is fixed but
it will run into problem *now* if the length wasn't fixed.
* There is some way to solve the problem (similar to the solution of Python).
* It is worth to keep the same escapes for both char and string
