Still curious to know about that. BUT: some things I monitor do not log via journald/ssytemd like nginx log files and fail2ban itself! (for recidive) Given that, even if I use systemd backend for most things it has to use other method to monitor log files so I wonder if then there is any advantage to use systemd when i could just use inotify (or polling) for everything (maybe depends on understanding answer to question at the top) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Don't Limit Your Business.
