We have a config of fail2ban that was working just fine prior to the
0.9.0 refactor effort. Is there a wiki/FAQ/fail2ban for dummies link
that can tell me how to make my previous config work in the newer refactor?
We're running 0.9.3 now and the refactor looks cool and much more
powerful but I need to quickly implement what we had before I can make
the time to learn all the new features of fail2ban.
prev jail.conf looked something like this:
[ssh-iptables]
enabled = true
filter = sshd
action = iptables[name=SSH, port=ssh, protocol=tcp]
sendmail-whois[name=SSH, dest=someuser,
sender=fail2ban@some-host-name, sendername="Fail2Ban"]
logpath = /var/log/secure
maxretry = 5
