Has anyone here used fail2ban on Mac? I installed per
http://www.fail2ban.org/wiki/index.php/HOWTO_Mac_OS_X_Server_(10.5)
even though I am running 10.9.1, and when I try to run it, it fails
without telling me much:

bash-3.2$ sudo fail2ban-client -x start
Password:

WARNING 'action' not defined in 'lighttpd-fastcgi'. Using default value

2017-10-30 00:02:58,843 fail2ban.server : INFO   Starting in daemon mode
ERROR Could not start server. Maybe an old socket file is still
present. Try to remove /var/run/fail2ban/fail2ban.sock. If you used
fail2ban-client to start the server, adding the -x option will do it
bash-3.2$

Fine. System.log is not helping me much at all either:

PWD=/Users/raub ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/local/bin/fail2ban-client
-x start
