That may be, but as far as MMY and the TM movement is concerned, the Kaliyuga began during the war recounted in the Mahabharata about 5100 years ago, so there should be ~427,000 years left until Sat Yuga. However, it's always behavior that determines what's up, so if people change their awareness/behavior, then that can certainly change the character of life on earth.
