The mere fact that Guru Dev left the forest and agreed to
become Shankaracharya is a clear _expression_ of his desire to enlighten the world. ----an _expression_ of his compassion, not of desire. He was a desireless
sannyasin. Why is that important? Because he was very high and his
consciousness was like a whale which sent forth waves naturally. It's no
surprise that a shark should swim in his wake.
Guru Dev waited to become Shankaracharya until
Maharishi was available to become his student -- thereby allowing Guru Dev to expose himself to the mud of the world only as long as necessary to develop a suitably receptive disciple, and when MMY was developed in awareness, Guru Dev left. --------Or maybe, since everything is one, as
these masters tell you, it all really is quantum mechanical synchronistic
virtual fluctuations of the vacuum state of now becoming the trend of time
as a macroscopic coherent brain wave coherence effect. One can also say
that Einstein waited to come out with relativity theory until WW2 when he could
craftily shape it into the Fat Man. But that would be patent bullshit as
Einstein could merely see all the possibilities inherent in atomics. His
intellect was great enough to create ripples. Ones that disturbed GD enough to
make him come out of the aranyaka, nuclear testing. In compassion.
