Title: Deepak Chopra, was: Why the happy talk about the pundits in Vedic City
Yeah, ok, here's what it is, he was preaching to the choir, back when he gave my graduation speech and it was just what you would expect from a pundit and not from someone who's audience just spent 40,000 bucks with no potential job choices or career over their guru. Very unperceptive, very blasse, and very much part of one of the worst years of my life.

Because he's a total loser. He's merely just what Maharishi taught him and therefore nothing at all.

There's two types of spiritual aspirants. Those who stop when they find a good answer, and who then market it, and those who stop at nothing, sell nothing, and search for the truth only. You decide which one you think he is.

Once Deepak became famous in and after the movement I didnt have the opportunity to interact with him. Maybe prominence ruined him. But before that, when I taught his TM course, was a guest at his house in Massachusetts, and lived in his parents house in New Delhi for two months, I found him to be a sweet man with a good heart and a brilliant mind. He was a successful man before TM, benefited greatly from TM, and became successful post-TM because hes a bright guy with something of value to offer. Sure, he got a lot of it from MMY, but he was able to package it in a way which made it accesssible to a much larger audience than the movement could attract.
