If the journal article really did all of that, it would be pretty exciting news in the scientific community don't you think? Lots of new studies would have been done in the 8 years since 1997 to better understand such dramtatic effects: all sorts of tests on cognative abilities as subjects faced different directions. Wow, maybe even a nobel prize could be had by doing a series of experiments that showed markedly improved performance by facing one direcion over another? Has any of this happened? Well, no. The article has been cited a lot, but not in any papers that explore higher levels stuff, beyond neuron activity. Why? Well maybe because the journal article didn't really show what you claim it did. > > Um, the cited journal article does all that? > > Here is the abstract, followed by he article's Generaliions and > Conclusions. > > Can you explain more precisely how the article > "show[s] that the neurons in our brain actually fire > differently depending on the direction we are facing." and how > "there are also "place neurons" in the brain which > signal our body's orientation in a room or environment. > Thus, the way we face influences brain and body functioning." > To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
