not so...in the Catholic tradition is
Saint Joseph of Cupertino, well documented
for spontaneous levitation quite frequently.
He is the patron saint of flyers.  See:

---------Has anyone ever looked around and seen perfection in the moment in things exactly as they are? Ahhh, a sidhi moment.

---------But of course they aren't perfect are they due to the suffering of others. Hail Buddha then, the one who taught the extended Bodhisattva path of ever firmer awakening, which perfects during ever more difficult epochs, over lifetimes, where as one descends deeper into samsara which is also one with the Ground itself, one uncovers more of the paramitas.  All this view and such is only seen in ones conduct. There is one world karma, and if one keeps getting enlightened over and over while living in the world then one continues to water the dessert like a gimel - check out the eye of the needle - (the togal point, one of the lights? maybe Vaj?)

                             DUST-DEVILS

In the wind of the mind arises the turbulence
      called I.
It breaks; down shower the barren thoughts.
    All life is choked.
This desert is the Abyss wherein the Universe.
The Stars are but thistles in that waste.
Yet this desert is but one spot accursed in a world of
      bliss.
Now and again Travellers cross the desert; they come
from the Great Sea, and to the Great Sea they go.
As they go they spill water; one day they will irrigate
      the desert, till it flower.
See! five footprints of a Camel! V.V.V.V.V.
