Carlson was one of a kind.
Well it seems there have been a number of people who have started movements and teach -- perhaps not to the degree of Carlson. Here are a few I am aware of. Not all are "gurus". And if someone has some useful knowledge and students benefit, thats not bad thing per se. Andy Rymer gave spiritual seminars and took on students (in more ways than one) Vaughn Abrams began wearing robes and sitting in dias when teaching TMO residence courses. After he was asked to leave movement, he started his own movement. Susan Shumpsky appears to have a following and takes on teacher role. Walter Bellim (sp) former N Calif Golden Boy and his wife Margurite (long time inner staff person) went to south africa to be with a guru -- I understood they took on that role. The purusha guy with sri vidya web site dresses in senyassi clothes and appears to take on students Johnny Gray does his relationship seminars and books -- though thats not overtly spiritual. Peter Russell of UK writes lots of books and appears to have strong fans, not sure if some are spiritual students in traditional mode. Lots of new age teachers appear to have a background in TM.
