I know it sounds frivolous and "canned" to say, but beauty is truly skin-deep. There was a bank teller at the bank I used to frequent that I went out of my way to go to. She was about 22 years old and about 200 pounds. Yet this kid had this glow about her that, first of all, radiated that she had ZERO discomfort about being "large" and, secondly, I am convinced that she felt totally beautiful and totally feminine. Now, this is NOT something you can fake -- or -- try and talk yourself into as part of some positive-thinking campaign for people with low self-esteem; I am convinced she felt that way because when you were around her, you totally bought into it (at least I did). And her beauty was so unconventional that in a way it made her all that more beautiful that your run-of-the-mill blond American plastic jobs.
