This is pranayama which spontaneously arises when one enters the sandi. 
Some people will also do it by focussing awareness on a certain place 
on the body. There are specific methods also in Patanjali, but it is 
well beyond anything I learned in the TMO.

Are they still teaching "neurorespiratory therapy" (pranayama) as a 
separate practice?
