Which ties to Vaj's point that there is much of the old time religion that Maharishi didn't pass along. At one time I believed he omitted the deities and devatas because they were superfluous add-ons -- evidence of how the knowledge had been corrupted. But there's also this argument that gods did't fit MMY's scientific presentation, so he conveniently ignored them. History aside, are enlightened people meeting the deities behind their mantras?
