It was 1944 (don't remember the month), an article/photospread ran in Life magazine about the yagya. But by then the war was certainly almost over, with the Russians poised to overrun the Germans from the East, and the Allies from the West, and the British gave up India because they were broke and worn out after WWII, so it's hard to see any big claims being justified for this yagya. What is not mentioned is that between 250K and a million Indians died when India gained its independence, as a result of killing sprees among Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs no longer under the thumb of the Brits and free to run riot. MMY commented in his press conference of March 23rd that fulfillment of desire (sankalpa siddhi?) was the test of coherence in India (as opposed to the MUM western-science model of giving a report card to students based on brain waves) -- so we'll see whether the pundit influence is coherent if some big changes happen in India. > > --- In [email protected], Rick Archer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > From a friend: > > > > Here is news to cheer everyone up.
