Entitled by his mother's and fathers lineage to be both high prist and king. Sounds like a high birth to me. And the solders played dice for his robe at the curcifixtion - maybe his robes weren't rags but of high quality. I think that the 'humble' stuff was put up by the later church to help keep everyone in line.
