Ah, the Beasts of Valhallah. I loved that book. Every time I think of TMO that title comes to mind.

I've read a few of them.  Loved the Mongo books.  George was a very
pleasant guy, funny, an avid (and good) chess player...you can
probably get a good feeling for what he's like from the photo on
