what exactly you mean by "Shakti drain"?

The farther in time and distance the students are from the source of the technique the less they work. This is why people can't just get into practicing Patanjali even though he was a tremendous Shaivitte and Sidha. The yoga sutras weren't practiced like we practice them, and if it wasn't for TM basic v. 1.5 the sutras as we practice them would have had no effect whatsoever.  They are a teaching of Maharishi.  They might yet work someday. But the students of Patanjali didn't run around and then meditate for 20 times 2. They stayed in samadhi so samyama was easier for them. Patanjali had his own ideas, and most of the yoga sutras delineate them as being for liberation, not for success in the market.

When Maharishi is dead and gone his techniques will also fall away from 'purity.' Especially as his teachings are themselves so diverse and self-contradicting that every TM Teacher will be out for themselves and their versions.  One must understand things at their source for the benefit to remain fresh. Farther from the source less benefit. Sad but true. Not that any of this shit will matter in another ten years. After nukes have made the air unbreathable and the sun is burning through the final thin layers of ozone. And your kids have radiation sores. People will hardly think of meditating then when their ears are buzzing as they burst with boils.

Even Maharishi's rich family will wonder if they could have used the capitol gained through you hard effort back when there was a chance.

you are kidding, right?

all those years and had few pleasures. Nonsense.  he went to college
to become able to make a buck for his family, and even now he is
sending all the money to his family, and when he dies his family will
control his huge estate.  Eexpect in the next fifty years that the
Varmas and Shrivistavas rise in political importance as they
transform their >holdings into political power. And watch the Shakti
drain.
