Wrong -- the movie had to play down the insanity of Hughes, because
the leading character in a standard-issue Hollywood movie needs to be
likable and mainstream. Just to cite one example of many in his
unfortunate life, Hughes saved his piss, a common habit among the
psychotic -- whenever he moved, his Mormon guards had to dump all the
piss he had saved, which resulted in hours of puking followed by dire
curses against the crazy f*ck they worked for -- read any of the
Hughes bios, he was really and truly nuts -- if he had not been so
rich, he might have been forced into therapy. I worked at Hughes
Aircraft back in the 60s, heard many strange stories about him that
ended up in his bios.
