The TM checking instruction for "antsy-ness" is to "feel the body".
That means to not try to introduce the mantra. Instead, allow the
attention to go innocently onto the body. Naturally you will become
aware of sensations in the body that are creating the discomfort.
Those sensations may be associated with some stress or emotion or
whatever. Doesn't matter. Innocent awareness of the sensations can be
quite comfortable compared to trying to do something else (such as
introducing the mantra). Also, that attention allows them to unwind.
When it is easy to do so, return to the mantra.

Does this "feeling the body" ring any bells to you? Do you do it now
in the context of your new found spiritual group?
