Given MMY & TMO's unethical behaviour over money, treatment of
individuals and whole meditator communities (UK's being the latest)it
would be REMARKABLE if in the scientific "front" everything was all
above board after all. Thus all the scientific claims not replicated
by truly independent researchers remain suspect, including the
Maharishi Effect & its square root variant. However the latter is
such a mind boggling claim that we'd all love to see it be true, for
sure! I still hope that whatever is happening with the pundits group
is for real, in spite of all my criticisms of MMY & his TMO. But the
introduction of yagyas etc into the equation has blurred the
importance of the Maharishi Effect per se. What would happen, for
instance, if MMY ditched TM and yogic flying groups altogether and
just amplified the Yagya Effect on its own? Is that in fact what is
making the difference now?

I say this because MMY was recently urging the Indian government to
use public funds to finance huge yagya "performances" throughout
India - even non TMO ones presumably. Of course being a basically
SECULAR country the use of money raised through taxes in this way
would be unconstitutional.. but the currently celebrated "effect" is
no longer a "Maharishi Effect" but more an alleged "Yagya Effect" ?
