Sage Narada came to earth representing the celestials. He visited a quiet grove where a man sat in meditation. Narada gained the meditators attention and asked 'you have meditated for man years. I wish to confer a boon on you. What would you have as this boon?' The man replied that he would very much like to leave this earthly life and accompany Narada to the celestial realm. Narada listened attentively and then asked that the meditator accompany him on some earthly business. Soon they arrived in a jungle area where a yogi sat beneath a tree. Again Narada introduced himself and offered the boon. The yogi replied. At first he would accept nothing, but on being pressed he answered; 'If I could live as many lifetimes as there are leaves on this tree I would feel so incredibly blessed.' Narada smiled and said 'Clearly you are ready to leave this earthly realm!'
