While looking anew at teaching meditation outside of the 'movement', it might be good to look at alternate ways. Reiki is undertaken usually free of any organisation or 'movement'. There are three levels of attainment which are all taught by the same 'Reiki Master' - the third being the knowledge of becoming a Reiki Master. The issues of valuing / undervaluing are dealt with by 'exchange of energy' between teacher and initiate.
