I don't think he ate them however. I think it's not so bad to eat eggs, it's worse karma to get eggs from chickens that are abused and poorly treated in egg farms.
I eat eggs from free rage chickens only and occasionally fish, although some day I hope to be a complete vegetarian as would be the ideal!
