Bal Brahmachari is a term used to describe someone who has been celibate from childhood. Guru Dev was described in this way, but at a later initiation by his guru was conferred the title of swami. But sometimes a period of abstinence is also called celibacy - whereas baala Brahmachari is about life celibacy.
