Here is what Bhairitu wrote in post #154739:

"So true and you see what happens if you tell some of the folks here
that
the TM methods are nothing new. I actually enjoyed looking up stuff
back in the 70's when I was a teacher to confirm I was teaching some
stuff that was somewhat traditional (outside on the no OM thing and the
single use of bij mantras). Of course I never mentioned that outside
of a circle of teacher friends that did the same thing often
recommending certain books. Even if I pointed to page 239-240 in "Mind
Mysteries" which was published by Swami Sivananda way before MMY even
joined the Shankaracharya these people would say it is not the same
thing as TM though in concept it certainly is."

First of all, there doesn't seem to be a book called "Mind Mysteries"
by Swami Sivananda but a book by him called "Mind: it's mysteries and
controll".

Be that as it may, on pp 239-240 of that book there is, indeed, an
explanation of what Sivananda describes as the ideal kind of
meditation. AND IT IS THE FARTHEST THING POSSIBLE FROM WHAT THE TM
TECHNIQUE IS! Just like that bullshit artist Barry Wright who claimed
without substantiation that other teachers taught what MMY was
teaching, Bhairitu's claim above that "the TM methods is nothing new"
is completely unfounded. Sivananda describes a form of meditation that
sounds to me to be about 180 degrees different from TM.

Indeed, I question whether Bhairitu ever even did TM, as taught by MMY
if he thinks TM is anything like what is described here.

239 and 240:

And, by the way, Bhairitu, if I have the wrong book, please transcribe
for us pp 239-240 of the RIGHT book...and if I'm wrong, I will
apologise to you and stand corrected...
