He's gotten past the need for the subdermal Xanax device and seems to truely believe the outright bald faced lies now without smirking. Plus the press is so cowed that they just ask him only the questions to the pre-prepared answers. This is all coming across as gross confidence. What I took for a stupid and dull dimwit has turned out to be a very good actor who must have had a certain amount of courage to jump into the unknown of his deceptive puppet suit not knowing that he would probably be assasinated late into his second term.
