Your point is well-taken, but with computers it's not just another thing like sports, is it? It is a new medium in the same sense that reading/writing a new technology and then printing. A friend once said, "You can't have the major leagues without the sandlots. That goes for spirituality as well, I'd guess, so for all the ridicule we can heap on some New Agers, we need that milieu or only a very few of us would find it in the caves.

They should have access to computers and should learn to type on them. We see the same kind of overkill in this country regarding the craziness of sports in that it is as if every kid is going to be a multimillion dollar sports star instead of supporting the few that actually do have a chance there or may want to be school coaches when they grow up.
