A list of what I would say constitutes basic necessities of life: - basic food and nutrition - basic education - clothing - shelter with adequate climate control - medical care - basic communication (perhaps a basic phone line) The only thing I find in YOUR list above that is compatible with my list is "a roof over your head"; everything else is unnecessary. ---You left out sex.
