I was alluding to the TM analogy of tiptoeing around the sleeping elephants. By contrast, Waking Down makes one intimately familiar with every one of those elephants. In one of the meetings during the recent retreat in Estes Park, we were discussing the issue of Waking Down shrinking over the past two years and what could be done to reverse it. I just shook my head and asked how the hell I could possibly sell what I went through in the past year as being a desirable and good thing. The anguish and depression were horrible, but a vastly freer and happier person has emerged from it. If I had the chance to go back in time one year and do it over, knowing how I feel right now, I wouldn't change a thing. So, to answer your question, it's both.
