The topic isn't individuals practicing TM -- it's brahmin pundits being flown in from India to conduct ancient fire ceremonies to Shiva. The only other place in the world where these practices are performed are in hindu temples by brahmin priests. Surely you can see the potential problem for vedic city in explaining this.
