Note the use of the word "probably" There is no proof for
the "chemical imbalance" theory. There used to be a commercial (for
paxil I think) where they had litle pac man type creatures on the
screen and one was isolated. It states "one theory is" that there is a
chemical imbalance in the brain. I have personally interviewed 100's
of people on psychotropics (Prozac, Zoloft, etc) and only one ever told
me they gave him a blood test before putting him on meds. By my own
count only 15% of them thought the drugs helped them. I know this may
been seen as a Scientology "rant" but I have experience talking to
these type of people because they come to me seeking help. Over the
last 5 1/2 years I've come to my own personal conclusion that these
drugs are spiritually debilitating. I am not a Dr. and have never told
anyone to stop taking them or made them wrong for doing so.

I just ask them how they feel when they take them and 85%
(consevatively) tell me things like: "I don't feel myself" "feel
wooden" "like a zombie" "It's the only 'option' I was given"
I do not mean to offend those who are taking these type of drugs.
Depression, neurosis, & psychosis are real and do need to be dealt with.
I just feel there are more effective measures that don't involve
psychotropics. And I feel stongly and emotionally about it.

At this point, I can often look in someone's eyes and see they are on
them. One particular girl was beautiful but couldn't focus and was
very nervous. She was on several of the drugs at once and desperately
wanted help as she felt the drugs were "messing her up". Tears came to
my eyes (as they have many times). I can't help someone on those drugs.
And so, so many people are on them.

Thanks for reading. I had to share that.
