Actually, IIRC, the absolute numbers and the violent crimes per 100,000 both 
fell slightly, 
(discounting murders). It was bit a more dramatic once you took the temperature 
into 
account and there's nothing wrong with taking temperature into account, though 
in roder 
to strengthen their case, they'd need to publish a study on ALL summer data 
ever collected  
to show the correlation independently of the ME study time period.
