I think he was becoming more independent in his thinking. He didn't think
the sidhis were such a hot idea. Sunk a lot of money into the NJ court case
(TM in the schools) when M told him to drop it. That, coupled with the fact
that most TM teachers revered and respected him, probably made M nervous. M
had already experienced charismatic movement leaders leaving and taking a
flock of teachers with them. Maharishi had him round for a year or two then
sent him out to "the field," from whence he never returned. But that's just
my take on it. I never talked with him about it.
